City of Pullman Explores Options Following Bid Opening for Project Downtown Pullman

Blueprint of construction project
PULLMAN, WA
—The City of Pullman held a bid opening at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30th. No bids were received from contractors for Project Downtown Pullman.

City staff are investigating alternatives and looking into the factors that contributed to the lack of bid submissions for this project. City staff will present the options identified and any other relevant information at an upcoming City Council meeting.

Project Downtown Pullman consists of improvements to Main Street between Spring Street to Grand Avenue including water, sewer, and storm mains; full street and sidewalk reconstruction; signal work; and landscaping. Alternative pedestrian routes will be available to maintain customer access to businesses during construction. The goal of this project is to create a more people-centric downtown space for the community as well as improve accessibility.

City Council meetings are open to the public and held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 190 SE Crestview Street, Building A. Residents are always welcome to contact elected officials directly, anytime, by emailing city.councilmembers@pullman-wa.gov.
