Child Passenger Safety Seat Program

carseat2Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among children in the United States. The primary reason for this is the non-use or improper use of child safety seats and seat belts. We can decrease this number by more than half with a correctly installed seat, and by placing children in age and size-appropriate safety seats, booster seats, and seat belts.

With a team of trained Child Passenger Car Seat Safety Technicians, The Pullman Fire Department offers free child safety seat inspections, installation guidance, and product recall checks year-round. The purpose of this program is to educate parents and caregivers on the proper use and installation of child safety seats. Our goal is to ensure every child is properly secured within a vehicle during every trip.
