Adam Hoffman

Adam comes to the Pullman Fire Department from the City of Pullman’s Protective Inspections Division of the Community Development Department, where he worked as a Building Inspector from May 2015 to January 2024.  He is certified as a Residential and Commercial Building Inspector as well as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector.

Before joining the City of Pullman, Adam worked as a Plumber in the construction industry, being licensed as a Journeyman Plumber, Medical Gas Installer, and Heating Mechanic II. He also holds an Associate’s Degree in Photography, which he earned from Spokane Falls Community College.

Adam lives with his wife, son, and two dogs in Colfax, Washington. As a family, they enjoy everything to do with the outdoors from gardening to camping, to stargazing, which the expansive dark skies of the Palouse offer plenty of. Other hobbies include cooking, which he loves, and remodeling, which is necessary.

Never leave your cooking unattended, and never put water on a grease fire! Remember to use the proper extinguisher, and if you’re not comfortable doing so, then get out, stay out, and call for help!
