Peak Season Water Use

Last Updated on Tuesday, 14 June 2016 13:34

The graph below compares the City of Pullman's average daily water usage for the months of May, June, July, August, September and October (Peak Season) for the previous four years with the average water use for the months of November, December, January, February, March and April (Average Indoor Water Use). As the graph shows, during the Peak Season months water use is at its highest point.  This is primary due to irrigation. The water use peaking factor during the months of August and September is as much as three times the Average Indoor Water Use.  In 2015 the City of Pullman begain offering a rebate for removal of irrigated lawn in favor of Wisescape. The water saved will help reduce water use during the peak season.
