Pullman Police Offer Resources to Citizens with MyPD Mobile App

PULLMAN – The Pullman Police Department announces the launch of their new My Police Department (MyPD) app for iPhone and Android.  The free MyPD app allows citizens to easily connect with their local law enforcement agency from their mobile device.

A sleek user interface will allow members of the public to obtain important updates through push notifications, follow social media updates without a user account, and obtain updates and alerts through message opt-ins.  A variety of important resources related to various crime and safety topics are made available at the push of a button, connecting community members with vital information and contacts in one convenient location.

The MyPD app allows citizens to quickly and easily submit tips related to crime and quality of life issues, including anonymous submissions.  Use of photo and optional GPS capabilities can further assist law enforcement in locating and addressing persons or problems quickly and efficiently.

While the app integrates some social media, MyPD is not a social network.  This no cost, ad-free application does not require a user account or personal information.  It is intended as an additional tool for citizens, providing important contact information, tip submission forms, and resources in a mobile and easily accessible format.

Citizens interested in connecting with the Pullman Police Department should search for “MyPD” in their app store.  After selecting Pullman Police Department, the app will always open to the Pullman Police Department and its resources.
