Pullman Construction Stormwater Permit

Stormwater Services Division

Program Purpose: To provide Pullman's citizens, business owners and City staff with a central point of contact and coordination for stormwater related issues.

Program Goals: To improve our local environment and quality of life by reducing pollution, maintaining and improving infrastructure, reducing impacts to the natural drainage system and increasing awareness on stormwater issues.

To meet these goals, the Stormwater Services Program is responsible for coordinating the following activities:

Stormwater Management Program (SMP)

The City of Pullman applied for and was granted coverage under the Eastern Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit which became effective August 1, 2014.

The Permit was issued by WA Dept. of Ecology and is renewable on a five year cycle. The current Permit is scheduled to expire July 31, 2019.

The Permit requires the City of Pullman to develop a Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) and implement the Program prior to the end of the current Permit cycle.

The Permit also requires the City to prepare annual reports confirming the status of Permit compliance.  The annual reports are due to Ecology by March 31st of each year.  The City of Pullman’s annual reports submitted to date can be viewed below.
