Event/Date: The House of Broken Angels: Conversations with Luis Alberto Urrea- Thursday, November 14, 7:00pm

The 2019 Everybody Reads program brings author Luis Alberto Urrea to the Palouse the week of November 11th.  Inspired by the death of his brother, the novel “The House of Broken Angels” takes an up close look at the daily lives, trials and triumphs of a Mexican-American family, insights that are especially important today.

Luis Alberto Urrea was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in nonfiction for “The Devil’s Highway.” He is the critically acclaimed author of 17 books, and has garnered numerous awards for his poetry, fiction and essays. He is a member of the Latino Literature Hall of Fame.

Urrea will give an author talk at Neill Public Library at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 14. Be sure to arrive early as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Light refreshments will be served.

Urrea will also appear in other venues across the Palouse and Lewiston-Clarkston Valley.
